Launchpad incl. News & Notification Center

In the Launchpad, your users can call up the latest information individually at a glance. In the integrated news centre, users are automatically provided with the latest company information, e.g. blog posts / news feeds, pulse surveys, instructions, messages, information from the Enterprise Wiki, chat messages, invitations to online meetings, video conferences or calendar entries with interactive tiles. Users can click directly into the desired article. Preferred chats & information from the Wiki can also be stored as favorites. In addition, users can add further tiles for external applications that are used regularly. Users can directly access external websites or (social media) portals from the system.

Generate individual push messages in real time for more reach, attention and involvement of your employees. In the notification center, each user is shown all articles in total, sequentially as well as articles that have not yet been read, highlighted in color - with a bell function that can be activated directly with a click. Optionally, you can receive a timestamp for each user showing when the respective article was read.

Blog / Newsfeeds / Activity Streams for Groups

In digital employee communication, the blog, with its special design forms such as videos, visualizations and storytelling, plays an essential role. Users have chronological access to current company news, info-graphics, interviews, messages from the management, portraits etc. with videos, pictures and links (with contribution preview) including read confirmation, like and feedback / comment function analogous to Facebook.

For further content generation, content from topic-relevant websites or agencies can also be integrated regularly via RSS feeds and automatically posted as blog entries. News feeds are possible for all employees in the company as a whole, teams, local locations, logical or topic-related groups. Content can also be provided via digital signage. If desired, posts can be automatically translated into different languages.

Messenger / Chats

Chats are perfect for informal networking. Users can use the integrated messenger to conduct rights-controlled defined or any number of individual and group chats with file attachments and push messages, similar to WhatsApp, but in a secure environment on valido servers in Germany without further processing of your user data for advertising purposes.

In addition, chat histories are not stored on mobile devices as usual - an advantage even if employees leave your company again.

Telephone and video conferencing & online meetings – GDPR compliant

Hybrid working, home office, dial-up - the new travel is a manifestation of an increasingly flexible working world. Video chats, web conferences with real-time meetings, training or presentations can replace many a costly meeting. For your meetings* now also use telephone and video conferences as well as online meetings analogous to Webex, including screen sharing, presentations, recordings, description & attachments, chat and taking minutes.

Invite entire departments, selected groups and individual users to video conferences or entire locations to online presentations with just one click - via push or email. Simply connect external users with an email including a direct link. Reach all employees as well as external participants who you can invite to meetings, consultations, training or recruiting (video interviews) - with end-to-end encryption (*additional module).

Information / File storage / Wiki / Bulletin board

Make information available to your users in a structured way on a permanent basis. Create individual tiles in your social intranet with different levels and relevant content for your file storage. Files can be exchanged with users and stored in a structured manner - including full-text search functions, even within files. Differentiated according to national companies, departments and logical groups, users have access, for example, to organization manuals, directories & forms, work instructions, main task lists, products, key figures and Enterprise Wiki.

Up-to-date information such as digital bulletin board, marketplace, duty rosters and menus, job advertisements, employee newspaper, videos & pictures can be made available to all users. Content can be shared in blogs or chats & forwarded by email.

Channels / Forums / Interest groups / RSS feeds

Provide a virtual place for users to exchange interests. In the channels, users can constantly discover new forums and follow preferred interest groups ad hoc. Any number of channels with relevant topics for the exchange of interests up to small ads are possible. Your users can initiate new topic-related channels themselves. 

For further content generation, content can also be regularly integrated from topic-relevant websites or agencies and automatically posted via RSS feeds in independent channels or as blog entries.

Feedback / Survey / Instruction & Communication

Use the pulse surveys included in the integrated feedback module for compact and focused surveys with open and closed questions, instructions during onboarding or recurring instructions including videos and files with control questions, logged checklists, e-learning & training videos as well as messages with active read receipts. Invitations are sent by push, e-mail or QR code, real-time evaluation, export function.

Employee directory / Onboarding

In the employee directory you will find all relevant contact data of the employees (landline and mobile numbers, e-mail addresses) as well as additional information (e.g. department, qualifications, specialist knowledge, location, personnel number, cost centre, home office, profile pictures and scans on request). Direct access to the chat is possible.

Only user name & password are required for onboarding, but not (private) mobile numbers or e-mail addresses of the users. If desired, new employees can be invited directly to the employee app with all access data.

Search & filter function / multilingualism

Find all relevant information easily and quickly with the integrated search function. The live search filters all information structured by wiki, blog, chat and the additional information in the employee directory (expertise, qualifications, location, position).

The app interface can be displayed in various languages, including Chinese*. If desired, articles can be automatically translated into 109 different languages* (*valido - Enterprise).

App connection / direct links / plugins / interfaces

Upload files from already used apps (Dropbox etc.) very easily via file upload into your employee app. Central and group-specific direct links* to frequently used applications can be flexibly placed in the main menu to access internal and external pages.

Plugins* can be added based on the valido API. Connect your own systems, intranet links (SAP, Office 365 & SharePoint) and applications via interfaces or automated workflows via zapier (*valido - Enterprise).

Calendar / processes / forms & documents

Use the integrated calendar* to enter all appointments such as events, meetings, recurring main tasks, holidays and birthdays into the system. Synchronise calendar entries automatically with your Office 365/Outlook calendar and vice versa.

Automatically map special use cases, your own processes* and workflows, forms and documents*, such as holiday applications, travel expense reports, sick notes including upload function (*coming Q4/2020).

Settings / Security / Data volume / Statistics / Updates

Login to the employee app is only possible with Touch-ID / Face-ID or PIN (for older mobile devices) as well as user name, password, matching of device ID and customer key (optional: Single Sign-On, VPN, two-factor authentication/2FA). Users select the desired language and view of the app – Dark Mode or Light Mode. Your used data volume is unlimited. Integrated virus scanner during file upload.

All actions / posts executed in the system can be statistically evaluated. Thus you receive a systematic evaluation of feedback, the number of readers, likes and comments (optional time stamp, last login date per user). Updates take place regularly.
